Something New Is Beginning.
Artist Spotlight
I've been quietly building something I've wanted to do for a long time, and I'm finally ready to share it.
Over the coming weeks, I'll be launching two new series here on Substack: a podcast and a recurring live seriesβboth centered around one thing that continues to fascinate me: artists and the stories behind what they create.
The podcast will shine a spotlight on some of the most intriguing creators I come acrossβprimarily here on Substack, but occasionally from Instagram and beyond. Writers, poets, painters, musicians, photographers, models, filmmakers... if your work stops me in my tracks, there's a good chance I'll reach out.
Each conversation will be relaxed, honest, and somewhere between 15 and 45 minutes long. Guests will have the chance to share a brand-new piece before it's releasedβor revisit an older work they feel deserves another look. We'll explore the hidden meanings behind their creations, what inspired them, where they were emotionally when they made them, and the journey that brought them here. We'll also talk about how they discovered Substack, the current energy of the platform, where they think it's headed, who they're inspired by, and where they hope their artistic path leads over the next few years. Above all, I want these conversations to feel human, filled with curiosity, insight, and hopefully a few good laughs.
The live series is also evolving.
While poetry will remain at its heart, the focus will lean even more heavily toward poets and essayists. Expect conversational interviews, open mics, live readings, discussions about craft, and regular spotlights on some of my favorite writers I've discovered. I'll also be sharing my own work before it's published, occasionally breaking down the metaphors, double entendres , riddles, rhyme schemes, and hidden layers behind a poem for anyone curious about the creative process.
I'll be opening up more about my own story, how I found poetry, and where it's taking me. I'll share updates on future readings, performances, tour dates, early ticket perks, and opportunities to meet in person as these events begin expanding across the U.S. and, eventually, beyond. There will also be room for writing prompts, collaborations, audience suggestions, and whatever new ideas grow naturally from this community.
My hope is simple: to create a place where artists don't just share their workβthey share themselves.
If that sounds like something you'd enjoy, I hope you'll join me from the very beginning.
The first conversations are coming soon.
Godspeed

I think this sounds like a wonderful idea especially related to how itβs going to contribute to building the creative community.
This is why I have always supported you . You have always been about the people . From the major artists . Underground, to the people that go unnoticed, almost as if theyβre invisible to the world . And you make it all fun . I can tell you go into everything with passion , love , and true genuine intrigue, curiosity. Blessings to you on all that you do . Iβm excited . This is the reason you gained the opportunities you have had with Grammy winners . Happy youβre finally back again.
